Vicky Kaushal, one of the favorite young actors of the audience, is all set to face a big test this Friday. With a career spanning over a decade, Vicky has consistently impressed with his acting skills and has established himself as a box office star in recent years. However, the delay in his big-budget projects like “Takht” and “Ashwatthama” has been a cause of concern for both him and his fans. Nevertheless, his latest film “Chhava” is ready to hit the theaters and has all the ingredients to be a game-changer for his career.
Big Budget and Grand Visuals
“Chhava” is a big-budget film with grand visuals and solid appeal, which can make an actor a big star. According to reports, the film’s budget is between 130-150 crores. The success of a big-budget film depends largely on its opening, and “Chhava” seems to be ready to make a strong impact at the box office, as hinted by its advance booking.

Advance Booking and Opening Collection
As per Sacnilk, over 3 lakh tickets for “Chhava” have been booked in advance, generating a collection of over 9 crores. With half a day of advance booking still left on Thursday, the trend suggests that the booking will increase rapidly as the release date approaches. It is estimated that the advance booking figure will cross 4 lakh by the time of release.
In comparison to other big Hindi films released last year, “Chhava” seems to be heading for a strong opening. With an advance booking of around 3.5 lakh, “Kalki 2898 AD” had collected over 22 crores on its first day. Considering this trend, “Chhava” is likely to open with a collection of at least 25 crores. If the audience and critics respond positively to the film on Friday morning, the opening collection could even reach 30 crores.
Career’s Biggest Opening for Vicky Kaushal
Vicky Kaushal’s previous biggest opening was with the film “Uri” in 2019, which was later surpassed by “Bad News” last year. However, “Chhava” is expected to more than double the opening collection of these films. If “Chhava” achieves an opening collection of 25 crores, it will not only be Vicky’s biggest opening but also one of the biggest openings of 2025.
Biggest Opening of 2025
The current record for the biggest opening of 2025 is held by Akshay Kumar’s film “Sky Force”, which collected over 15 crores on its first day. Vicky Kaushal is set to surpass this record with “Chhava”. With no other big Bollywood releases scheduled for the entire month of February, “Chhava” has a good chance of becoming the first blockbuster Hindi film of the year.
