Mithali Raj has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. The former Indian captain made his international debut on June 26, 1999. Mithali played 232 one-day caps and 89 T20 caps in addition to 12 test matches in his 23-year career. He scored 699 runs in Test matches. While 7,805 runs in ODI, he scored 2,364 runs in T20 cricket. Mithali was the last part of the ODI World Cup held in New Zealand, but under his captaincy the team was eliminated before the semi-finals. It is worth noting that Mithali retired from T20 International a few years ago. Many veterans have weighed in on Mithali Raj’s retirement.
