Vertu Debuts Agent Q: First Luxury Phone with Autonomous AI Agents

Luxury smartphone maker Vertu has unveiled its new Agent Q handset, distinguished by an integrated network of over 200 specialized artificial intelligence agents designed to perform complex tasks autonomously for ultra-wealthy users. The device, launched exclusively at Harrods in London, positions itself as the first smartphone to fully integrate such a comprehensive AI Agent system.

The core of the Agent Q’s advanced capabilities lies in its “Ruby Talk” button, which connects users to the AIGS network. This network hosts more than 200 distinct AI Agents, categorized into five types, capable of executing sophisticated commands without requiring continuous user input.

These AI Agents can handle a wide range of tasks, from in-depth data analysis to planning intricate international travel itineraries. Users initiate actions with a single command, allowing the AI to manage all subsequent details and free the user to concentrate on other priorities. Vertu emphasizes that while the system is designed for autonomous operation, users can revert to manual control at any time for complete oversight.

The Vertu Agent Q features a 6.02-inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is an overclocked 2024 flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 16 GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 512 GB to 1 TB. Its 5,565 mAh battery supports 65W fast charging.

For photography, the Agent Q is equipped with a triple-camera system. The main 50-megapixel camera uses a Sony IMX906 sensor, offering a 33mm focal length, optical image stabilization (OIS), and a variable aperture from f/1.59 to f/4.0. It is complemented by a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 122-degree field of view and super macro capabilities for close-up shots as near as 2.5 centimeters. A 64-megapixel zoom camera, featuring OIS and 2x optical zoom, completes the rear setup. The front camera has a 32-megapixel sensor.

Additional features include dual stereo speakers with DTS Ultra sound support, a dedicated hardware encryption chip for enhanced personal data security, and 10 terabytes of free cloud storage.

In terms of design, the Agent Q boasts a premium construction, encased in smooth, seamlessly formed leather. The SIM tray is engineered with a Swiss hinge, resembling a falcon’s wing. The device assembly incorporates 320 stainless steel components, and internal parts are plated with 10-micrometer thick gold. Vertu describes the design as “exquisite art seamlessly integrated with cutting-edge innovation.”

The Agent Q is being sold exclusively at Harrods, a luxury department store in London. Pricing details for the new smartphone have not yet been disclosed by Vertu, a UK-based luxury brand originally established by Nokia in 1998.
