Max Verstappen’s Future Plans Remain Uncertain
Despite facing numerous challenges this year with the RB20 and receiving offers from other teams, Max Verstappen remains tight-lipped about his future plans. In a recent interview, the four-time champion downplayed the possibility of joining Aston Martin, stating that he has not considered the option and is committed to his current team, Red Bull, until 2028.
A Commitment to Red Bull
Verstappen emphasized his loyalty to Red Bull, citing the team’s role in his success and his feelings of being part of a “second family.” He also acknowledged the upcoming changes in regulations, including the introduction of 50% hybrid engines and new aerodynamics in 2026, but expressed that he is not currently preoccupied with these developments.
Exploring Options Beyond F1
When questioned about his future plans, Verstappen revealed that he is considering options beyond Formula 1. At just 25 years old, he feels that he has a long career ahead of him and is thinking about what he wants to achieve in the years to come. While he denied thinking about 2026 specifically, he hinted that he is contemplating his next move, possibly with the World Endurance Championship (WEC) and Le Mans in mind.
Seeking the Right Partners
Verstappen acknowledged that he is thinking about finding the right partners for his future endeavors, but emphasized that he does not need to make a decision immediately. As he navigates the complexities of his career, it remains to be seen what the future holds for this talented young driver.
