The Dutch driver’s plane took off from Nice airport this morning. It’s unclear if his girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, is in the hospital to give birth. Reports suggest she’s doing well and could deliver today.

Red Bull released a statement saying, “Max won’t be at the press conference in Miami because he’s expecting a baby. Everything is fine, and he’ll be on track tomorrow for the race weekend. We won’t comment further to respect Max and his family’s privacy.”

The F1 driver will participate in Friday’s practice and Saturday’s sprint race qualifying. Fans can expect him to be ready for the race weekend.
