Venom 2: Andy Serkis says the movie is a love story about a complicated marriage

It’s crazy how everyone working on Venom: Let There Be Carnage seem to have “Perfectly understood” the initial material they are working on. After a first film generally failed where the symbiote Venom was far from its dark and creepy comic book violence, many are waiting for the second installment. This second film, despite the presence of Woody harrelson inasmuch as Carnage, villain much appreciated by fans, does not bode well. The official classification of the film will be PG-13, which means that one should not necessarily find a lot of violence and hemoglobin in these new adventures ofEddie Brock. A member of the special effects team also claimed that Carnage would be much more violent in the film than in the comics, even with this classification.

Andy Serkis, director of the feature film, told comicbook.com that the film will be a love story. While you might think he was going to target the relationship between Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and Anne Weying (Michelle Williams) even if the latter seems to have rebuilt her life in Venom 2, the love story would concern the Venom / Eddie Brock cohabitation… atmosphere…

“The movie is a love story – but not the love story you might think. It is about the extraordinary relationship between the symbiote and the host. The whole love story has its pitfalls, its ups and downs; Venom and Eddie’s relationship causes trouble and stress, and they almost hate each other. But they must be together, they cannot live without each other. It’s camaraderie, love, a real relationship… ”

Nothing that does not bode well for a good movie so, even if you always have to wait for the final result before speaking, hoping that Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage will be a pleasant surprise. Response on October 20, 2021
