Venezuelan justice condemns 8 men for sexual abuse so far this month

The Justice of Venezuela sentenced eight men for sexual abuse in the first 12 days of August according to the case report of the Public Ministry (MP / Prosecutor’s Office), which reported this Friday the declaration as guilty for acts of this type of the eighth man since August 1.

The most recent case is that of a 38-year-old man sentenced to 17 years and six months in prison for sexually abusing his 12-year-old neighbor in the town of Los Teques, in the state of Miranda (center).

The aggressor, arrested on February 18, 2021, after the complaint of the victim’s mother, was charged with the crime of "sexual abuse of a girl with genital penetration" and will serve his sentence in a prison located on the outskirts of Caracas.

Seven of the victims of the registered cases are minors while another 21-year-old woman, who was also abused, has a mental disability.

Among the aggressors stands out a man who was sentenced to 29 years and three months in prison for abusing his three daughters, aged between four and 10 years old, in the Caroní municipality of Bolívar state (south).

Regarding the latter, the MP reported that the mother of the girls "She denounced to regional police officials that the man was beating her and her three daughters. Additionally, one of her minors revealed that she attempted suicide because her father sexually abused her and her sisters.".

The victimizer was accused of cruel treatment, sexual abuse without penetration and aggravated lewd acts, "all in continuous action, as well as threats and sexual abuse with oral penetration".
