The stage is set for the ultimate showdown in the world of VALORANT. Imagine a high-stakes tournament where the best teams clash in a battle of skill and strategy. That’s what’s happening in the VCT Americas Stage 1, which kicks off on March 21.
Let’s break it down. We have two types of teams: those partnered with Riot Games and those who rose through the ranks via Ascension. The teams competing for the top spot are:
- G2 Esports (G2) – Ascension 2023
- Sentinels (SEN)
- MIBR
- KRÜ Esports (KRU)
- Leviatán (LEV)
- LOUD (LLL)
- Evil Geniuses (EG)
- NRG
- FURIA (FUR)
- Cloud9 (C9)
- 100 Thieves (100)
- 2GAME Esports (2G) – Ascension 2024
How it works
The tournament starts with a group stage, where teams are split into two groups. Each match is a best-of-three, and only the top four teams will advance to the playoffs, which use a double-elimination format. The grand final, set for May 4, and the lower final will be best-of-five.
The prize
The winner of VCT Americas Stage 1, along with the second and third-place teams, will secure a spot in the Masters Toronto. The champion will receive five Americas points, the runner-up will get three points, and the third-place team will earn two points. Even the fourth-place team will get one point, despite not qualifying for the international competition.

This is what the teams are fighting for – a chance to prove themselves as the best in the VALORANT scene and secure a spot in the prestigious Masters Toronto. The competition will be fierce, with each team bringing their unique strategy and playstyle to the table. Who will come out on top? Only time will tell.
