Varun Dhawan on Viral Driver Video: People Making Mountain Out of Molehill

The buzz is building around Varun Dhawan’s latest film, ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.’ As he hits the promotional circuit, Varun is sharing some interesting stories, both old and new. One recent incident, involving his driver and a viral video, has become a talking point. He’s setting the record straight, reminding us how quickly social media can twist a simple moment.

Varun recently spoke about this to E-Times. He mentioned how easy it is to create false stories online these days. He feels these made-up tales are the most upsetting part of social media. He just saw this happen with his own driver. Varun explained they had just arrived at a location when the video was filmed. However, the way it spread, people thought his driver and a police officer were having a big fight.

“What nonsense!” Varun exclaimed, recalling his reaction. He clarified that the person in the video was simply asking for a photo. That person later did get a picture with Varun. He said nothing serious happened at all. Varun emphasized that if a police officer approaches him, he would always stop, listen, and talk to them respectfully. He believes people are just making a mountain out of a molehill from nothing.

The star also looked back at a time he got a stern lesson from his legendary director father, David Dhawan. Speaking to ANI, Varun shared that his dad treats work with utmost seriousness, putting aside personal ties. He remembers interning on one of his father’s films as a young man. Varun admits he must have made a mistake, perhaps suggesting a different way to shoot a scene. But it wasn’t his father’s vision, and Varun wasn’t at a point where he should be giving directions. His dad firmly told him, “Do all this when you make your own film or reach a certain position.” Before becoming an actor, Varun actually started his career as an assistant director.

Varun admitted that his father’s words were tough to hear initially, but he now knows his dad was right. He said they have many creative talks now and truly listen to each other. It’s clear Varun has learned from both his early experiences in the industry and the recent social media frenzy. He’s taking it all in stride.

‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ is set to hit cinemas on October 2nd. The film features a strong cast alongside Varun. Audiences will see Janhvi Kapoor, Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi in important roles.
