Dharma Productions, the team behind the film, announced the change on their X (formerly Twitter) account. They posted a vibrant picture of Varun Dhawan from the movie. He’s seen with his hands pressed together, giving a funny, expressive look. The post confirmed his character name as Sunny Sanskari.

The announcement came with a quirky poem, attributed to Sunny Sanskari himself:

The verses translate to: “These tears are mine, not ocean water… These tears are mine, not ocean water… What trust can you put in rain, it’s here today… gone tomorrow!!!” It’s a playful line that fits the romantic-comedy vibe.

Shashank Khaitan is directing ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.’ Besides Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film also features Rohit Saraf and Sanya Malhotra.
