Varun is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’. But in the midst of this, he looked back at an incident from his film ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’. He began drinking on set around 7:30 AM to fully get into character for a scene.

Varun recounted this eyebrow-raising moment during a chat with Pinkvilla. They asked him about the most unusual thing that ever happened on set. He explained it was for a big climax scene with veteran actor Anil Kapoor. His character had to deliver a speech while completely inebriated. To really nail the drunk persona, Varun and fellow actor Maniesh Paul started their “pre-game” at 7:30 AM.
Varun confessed, “During that climax scene with Anil sir, I get drunk and give a speech. So, we had to be drunk.” He added, “Maniesh and I started drinking in the morning, and by 2 PM, our voices started slurring.” The dedication didn’t stop there. He mentioned, “Then I had to sober up, but since the scene wasn’t finished, I had to do the same thing the next day.” Talk about commitment to a role!
