Van Aert’s ‘vacation’: 300 km gravel bike

There are those who go to the mountains. Others, to the beach. the fan of plans to enjoy a vacation is wide, but few mortals have the desire to ‘roll the blanket over their heads’ and complete a two-day getaway riding a bicycle.

And that is precisely what a certain man has done. Wout van Aert, who has already completed his season of classics decided to take a couple of days of vacation with his friends to visit the beautiful places of the Champagne region of France thus extending his stay in the French country after competing in Paris-Roubaix.

The Belgian, as he has shown on his Instagram and Strava profiles, completed two gravel bike rides to cover just over 300 kilometers in two days: 169 the first, 156 the second. More than 19 hours on the bike to unwind in good company and, incidentally, leave behind a spring that, despite its success at the E3 Saxo Classic, left empty in all three monuments: 3rd in San Remo, 4th in Flanders and 3rd in Roubaix.
