Brazilian esports team Team Solid carries the hopes of its nation as the sole remaining representative in the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Ascension Americas playoffs, which begin Thursday.
Team Solid faces ENVY, the same North American squad that eliminated fellow Brazilian team Stellae Gaming earlier this week in a best-of-three series, winning 2-1. This sets up a highly anticipated matchup for the Brazilian contingent.
The playoffs will determine which team earns promotion to the Tier 1 VCT Americas league for the upcoming year. The Swiss Stage of the tournament concluded on Tuesday, October 21, narrowing the field to four contenders.
The advancing teams are TSM, ENVY, Team Solid, and Winthrop University.
The opening playoff matches are scheduled for Thursday, October 23, starting at 5:00 PM UTC-3.

Team Solid posted a message on social media ahead of their match against ENVY, stating “Brazil’s revenge arc. take care @Envy, we’re coming for ya.”

The first match on Thursday features TSM against Winthrop University. Team Solid’s game against ENVY will follow immediately after the conclusion of that series.
Winners from Thursday’s matches will advance to the upper bracket and compete on Friday, October 24. Teams that lose will drop to the lower bracket, playing a critical elimination series later that same day at 5:00 PM UTC-3.
The surviving team from the lower bracket will then face the loser of the upper bracket final on Saturday, October 25, at 5:00 PM UTC-3. This match will be a best-of-five. The winner of the upper bracket will proceed directly to the Grand Final.
The VCT Ascension Americas Grand Final is scheduled for Sunday, October 26, at 5:00 PM UTC-3. It will be played in a best-of-five format.
