VALORANT VCT 2026: Promotions, Relegations Decided; China Only Region Spared

The VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Ascension tournaments have concluded, finalizing the lineup of promoted and relegated teams for the 2026 season, with distinct outcomes observed across global regions.

Among the regions, China stood out as the only one to avoid any relegations to the Challengers tier. Dragon Rage Gaming secured its place in the 2026 VCT by winning its Ascension championship.

In the VCT Américas circuit, Brazil’s 2GAME Esports was relegated. The team will return to the VALORANT Challengers Brasil (VCB) after a season of subpar results. ENVY, however, emerged as the champion, earning a spot in the VCT for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, the Pacific region saw SLT Seongnam promoted through its Ascension championship. Nongshim RedForce maintained its VCT spot, while BOOM faced relegation from the league.

These annual Ascension competitions are crucial for the VALORANT competitive ecosystem. They serve as the pathway for top-performing teams from regional Challengers leagues to ascend into the franchised VCT leagues.

The VCT 2025: Ascension Américas, the final tournament in the series, wrapped up on Sunday, May 26.
