Valorant Unveils Miks As 30th Agent At Masters Santiago

Riot Games officially unveiled Miks as the 30th playable agent for the tactical shooter VALORANT during the Masters Santiago grand finals on Sunday. The Croatian Controller character utilizes sound-based abilities to manipulate battlefield pacing and support teammates.

Miks is scheduled for global release on March 18, 2026, coinciding with the launch of Season 2026 // Act 2. The update will also introduce the new Blackthorn Collection and a refreshed Battlepass to the game’s ecosystem.

Controller Kit and Gameplay Mechanics

The agent introduces dual-function utility to the Controller role. His primary mechanic, M-pulse, functions as a toggleable grenade capable of either concussing opponents or healing allied players. His map-targeted deployable smokes are deployed via the Waveform ability.

For combat engagement, Miks utilizes Harmonize, a combat stim that applies to both the agent and a targeted ally, which refreshes upon securing eliminations. His ultimate ability, Bassquake, projects a sonic shockwave that applies a knockback, deafen, and slow effect to enemies caught in its radius.

Developer Philosophy and Roster Integration

VALORANT Game Designer Kevin Meier stated the agent was developed with a “teamplay-first” philosophy, aiming to provide players with non-mechanical tools to influence match dynamics. Miks follows the release of Veto, a Senegalese Sentinel introduced during the VALORANT Champions Paris tournament the previous year.

The official cinematic trailer for the character featured a new remix of the track “Clarity” by Zedd, produced by DJ BUNT. The reveal took place immediately prior to the Masters Santiago grand finals matchup between Paper Rex and Nongshim RedForce. The broader technology underlying the tactical shooter will see further updates deployed alongside the Season 2026 Act 2 patch.
