The world of esports offers a direct path to the big leagues. For teams competing in VALORANT, winning means much more than just a trophy. It means securing a valuable spot in the VCT Ascension Americas tournament. This key event offers a direct entry into the major franchise leagues by 2026. Teams fight hard for this chance at long-term stability and recognition.
Recently, Team Solid faced off against RED Canids in the VCL Brazil: Last Chance Qualifier, known as LCQ. This final match on Sunday, the 7th, was not just about bragging rights. It decided who would get a better starting position in the upcoming Ascension event. The stakes were incredibly high for both organizations.
Team Solid showed dominant form, sweeping RED Canids with a decisive 3-0 victory. This win made Team Solid the champion of the LCQ. It also earned them a direct entry into the group stage of the Ascension tournament. For RED Canids, the path will be tougher. They must now compete in the play-in stage. Here, they will battle against two other teams, Winthrop University and Six Karma, for just two remaining spots in the main event.
