Team Liquid Visa snagged the top prize, beating MIBR in a tight 3-2 series. This victory earned them a direct ticket to the World Championship, set for Seoul, South Korea, along with a cool R$30,000 in prize money.
MIBR, despite their strong second-place finish, isn’t out of the running just yet. They have a critical second chance. The team can still fight for a spot at the Championship through the Game Changers Americas Last Chance Qualifier, or LCQ. This special LCQ event offers a lifeline. It brings together the second-place teams from Brazil, Latin America, and North America. They all compete for that final coveted entry to the Game Changers Championship (GCC).
The international competition is getting bigger in 2025, now including 10 teams. The Americas region is now counted as one large area. This means the slot allocation looks like this:
- Americas: 4 slots
- CN: 1 slot
- EMEA: 3 slots
- Pacific: 2 slots
Three of the Americas slots will go to the champions of each regional league – North America, LATAM, and Brazil. The fourth slot, a golden ticket, is reserved for the winner of the 2025 LCQ. This setup gives MIBR another clear path to global play, as they hold a strong point standing in Brazil, making them eligible for the new tournament.

Location and Format for the 2025 Game Changers Americas LCQ
The Game Changers Americas Last Chance Qualifier 2025 will be an intense two-day LAN event. It’s happening at the Riot Games studios in São Paulo. Three teams will clash. The first day will feature a round-robin format, where everyone plays everyone. On the final day, the top two teams will face off in a best-of-five match. The champion of this showdown will secure their place at the Game Changers Championship. Exact dates and broadcast times for this decisive tournament are still under wraps.
