VALORANT Game Changers Americas LCQ: Final Global Championship Spot Up For Grabs

North and South American esports teams will clash this weekend for their final chance to qualify for the global VALORANT Game Changers Championship in Seoul.

The Game Changers Americas Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) brings together three top teams vying for the single coveted spot in the inclusive international tournament. Brazil’s MIBR, North America’s Wadadaa, and Latin America’s Akave Esports will compete in the high-stakes event.

For MIBR, the tournament offers a path to redemption. The Brazilian squad was the runner-up in the VCT Game Changers Brazil. They narrowly lost a 3-2 final to Team Liquid Visa.

The competition begins on Saturday, June 1st, and concludes on Sunday, June 2nd. The first day will feature a round-robin format with best-of-three matches. The top two teams will advance to the final on Sunday. That championship match will be a best-of-five series.

Riot Games, the developer, outlined specific tie-breaker protocols for the event. A team securing two wins on the first day will gain two map bans and priority pick in the best-of-five final. If all teams end the first day tied, the tie-breaker criteria will determine which team receives the priority pick.

Matches are scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM local time (UTC-3) on both Saturday and Sunday. The event will be broadcast live on VALORANT Esports’ official Twitch and YouTube channels. No monetary prize pool has been announced for the LCQ; the sole reward is direct qualification to the global Game Changers Championship in South Korea.
