VALORANT Champions: MIBR Dominates Heretics 2-0, Responds to Provocations

Professional esports can be a stage for high drama, and this past Friday, MIBR delivered a powerful message. The Brazilian squad faced off against Team Heretics in the VALORANT Champions 2025 tournament. MIBR secured a decisive 2-0 victory over the European organization. This win moved them forward in the world championship for Riot Games’ tactical first-person shooter.

This was more than just a typical match. MIBR used their victory as a direct response to some past comments. Before the game, Team Heretics player Enes “RieNs” Ecirli had stirred up controversy. In a YouTube video from five months ago, Ecirli stated that Erick “Aspas” Santos, often called the best VALORANT player ever, was “overrated” and a “baiter.”

MIBR made a clear statement on the virtual battlefield. They took the first map, Corrode, with a tight 14-12 score. Then, they sealed their 2-0 series win on Sunset, dominating with a 13-6 finish. This strong performance sent Team Heretics down to the lower bracket. MIBR, on the other hand, advanced to the upper bracket semifinal.

The team didn’t stop there. They took their response to social media. After their win, MIBR posted a short, sharp message on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. It included a video clip of their celebration.

The Brazilian team, representing the Americas region, now waits for their next opponent. They will play against the winner of the match between NRG and GIANTX. MIBR’s next game is set for this Sunday, September 28, at 1 PM Brasília time. Fans can watch all the action live on the official VALORANT Esports Brazil channels.

Official broadcasts are available on the VALORANT Esports Brazil Twitch and YouTube channels.
