VALORANT Act 6 Debuts New Sentinel Veto, Extensive Gameplay Reworks

Riot Games is set to launch a significant overhaul of its tactical shooter VALORANT with a new agent, Veto, alongside widespread balance changes to weapons, existing agents, and maps designed to reshape competitive strategies.

The “Season 2025, Act 6” update is scheduled to roll out around mid-October 2025, introducing a new Sentinel agent and fundamental gameplay adjustments. These changes aim to enhance the competitive experience and offer fresh tactical opportunities.

The new agent, Veto, is a Senegalese Sentinel with a unique ability to nullify enemy powers and technology. This “devastating genetic mutation” makes him a potent counter-play character, capable of disrupting opponent strategies. Players can view Veto’s mechanical reveal video on the VALORANT Brasil YouTube channel.

Weapon balancing constitutes a core part of the update. Rifle spray patterns have been adjusted to be more predictable during continuous fire and when transferring aim between targets.

“In high-intensity moments, things have changed for the better,” said Product Manager Tiffy. “It will be possible to rely more on the shooting mechanics in these situations.”

The changes also ensure that sprays and bursts are now as effective as single shots in certain scenarios, rewarding players for selecting the optimal approach in combat.

Agent abilities have also undergone significant modifications. The visibility radius for players affected by the “blurred vision” debuff has doubled from 2.5 meters to 5 meters. Overall stun durations will also be reduced.

Specific agent adjustments include Omen’s smoke cooldown increasing from 30 to 40 seconds. Sage’s healing wall health has been lowered from 800 to 600 hit points. Breach’s ultimate ability size will shrink from 23 meters to 18 meters.

Two maps, Abyss and Pearl, will see targeted transformations. Changes are focused on the Mid and B-Side of Abyss, and the B-Side of Pearl.

Developers stated these map updates are designed to “allow more creativity in defense and post-plant scenarios.”

The update also brings new cosmetic content. The Battle Pass for Act 6, featuring items like the Heartbreaker Ghost, Heartbreaker Phantom, and Heartbreaker Knife, along with sprays, keychains, and cards, is set to arrive on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

The new “Dolmir’s Vengeance” skin collection, which includes designs for the Vandal, Guardian, Classic, Odin, and the Dolmir’s Verdict knife, will become available on Thursday, October 16, 2025.
