The bodies of two people and a 3-year-old boy were found on Sunday afternoon at their home in Nogent-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne).
The victims were discovered by firefighters, who were intervening in a fire in a pavilion, several sources told AFP. The “low intensity” fire had finally extinguished itself when emergency services arrived.
“What worries me is whether the fire was accidental or criminal,” asked the mayor of this town in southern Paris. He was also surprised that “the neighborhood didn’t realize it.”
The firefighters carried out cleaning operations in the accommodation. An investigation was opened to find out the origin of the fire and the causes of death of the three victims.
