USA and West Indies to host 2024 T20 World Cup, ICC confirms

A big update has come out regarding the T20 World Cup 2024. According to the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), the tournament is not considered to be moved from the Caribbean islands and the United States to the United Kingdom.

It was previously claimed that due to administrative uncertainty at America Cricket (USAC), the tournament would be handed over to England, Ireland and Scotland. Now things have become clear regarding this. An ECB spokesman said: “There is no truth to the news that the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be moved from the West Indies and the United States to 2024. It is organized by the ICC, so their statement should be taken as binding and conclusive”.

The ICC told him that planning has started regarding the 2024 T20 World Cup. An ICC spokesperson said: “Venue inspections in both host regions have recently been completed and planning for the event in June 2024 is in full swing. “.

An ICC member said: “The 2024 T20 World Cup is scheduled for June, and the only other possible venue is England. If one asks the England Cricket Board if they can host in 2024, the answer is very clear, they can’t. Therefore, the possibility does not even arise. A look at England’s games next year will confirm this for anyone.”

It should be noted that the T20 World Cup held in 2022 was organized by Australia, in which England was proclaimed champion. England had won the T20 World Cup title by defeating Pakistan in the final. England became T20 champions for the second time. For the first time in 2010, the English team won the T20 World Cup title.
