The US evacuation was completed after a 20-year long war in Afghanistan. US forces also evacuated Kabul Airport.
According to US media, the US forces completed their withdrawal on Monday night, ending the 20-year long war. Suicide bombers killed more than 170 people and 13 U.S. service members during the evacuation.
The Pentagon has confirmed that the withdrawal of all US troops from Afghanistan has been completed and that Kabul International Airport is now empty of foreign troops.
Shortly after the US announcement, Taliban spokesman Sohail Shaheen tweeted: “The last US troops have evacuated the country at 12 midnight and our country has achieved complete independence, for which we thank God.”
The last American soldier to leave Kabul at 12 o’clock is not a perfect independence, and praise be to God. Congratulations.

After the evacuation, the Taliban took full control of the airport while firing in the air and explaining to the citizens that the United States has left the country, so they are firing in the air in joy. During the evacuation, US and coalition forces evacuated thousands of foreigners, including Afghans, from Kabul airport.
Hours before US President Joe Biden promised to complete the evacuation by Tuesday, August 31, US Air Force transport planes boarded the last US military contingent from Kabul.
The last plane took off from Kabul Airport at 3:29 p.m. Washington time, said Gen. McKenzie, head of U.S. Central Command.

On the other hand, after the Taliban took control of Kabul Airport, the pictures have gone viral on social media.
It may be recalled that after the 9/11 attacks on September 9, 2001, the United States invaded Afghanistan in search of Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden, while the Taliban had taken the position that they were the first to be involved in the September 11 tragedy against Osama bin Laden and the Taliban.
