US teen missing in 2015 found eight years later

A 25-year-old American has been found alive eight years after his disappearance. According ABC13, the young man was discovered unconscious and injured in front of a church. Her body was covered with wounds and bruises. Authorities confirmed on Sunday that the missing person was safe.

Hospitalized, “he receives the care he needs to overcome his trauma,” his mother told CNN. Mute and withdrawn into himself, the young man does not communicate with those close to him. We do not know, for the moment, what he lived during these eight years.

Investigation still ongoing

Rudolph Farias had been missing since March 6, 2015. The 17-year-old had never returned home after walking his two dogs in northwest Houston. The dogs had been found. At the time, the teenager suffered from depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety.

A search warrant was then launched. The investigations yielding nothing, the search had been suspended. In September 2018, police received reports that Rudolph Farias had been spotted sleeping behind the residence of a family member.

The police department’s missing persons unit is scheduled to interview the young man and his family on Wednesday. The investigation into his disappearance remains open.
