US Accepts Qatar’s Boeing 747 Gift for Air Force One Upgrade

The United States has accepted a Boeing 747 from Qatar, which will be modified for use as Air Force One.
The plane was given as a gift after President Donald Trump visited the Middle East.
Trump said on Truth Social, “Why should our military and taxpayers pay hundreds of millions of dollars when we can get it for free?”

Many people are worried that taking the plane may be against the constitution, which says no gifts from foreign countries.
Critics note that making the plane secure for use as Air Force One will take time and money.

Trump was asked about this on Wednesday while talking to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
He said Qatar giving the plane to the US was okay and a good thing.

The Qatari prime minister told Bloomberg that giving the plane was transparent and legal.
It’s part of the cooperation between the two countries over the past few decades.

The US Air Force has been told to start planning to modify the plane.
This was said by Secretary of the Air Force Troy Mend and Chief of Staff David Goldfein.
