Uruguayan Tourists Robbed by “Black Widows” in Buenos Aires Palermo Neighborhood Incident

In the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires, a disturbing case of “Black Widows” has come to light, with three Uruguayan tourists falling victim to a clever heist. The men, aged between 31 and 33, had been staying in a department in a building and had decided to go out dancing at a local bowling alley called “Kika”. It was there that they met two young people who would later be involved in the theft.

After a few drinks at the bowling alley, the group decided to head back to the tourists’ department to continue the night. Once they arrived, they kept drinking, and at some point, the three friends lost consciousness. They didn’t wake up until 5 pm, at which point they realized they had been robbed. The thieves, known as “Black Widows”, had made off with the three cell phones, $400, and 3,000 Uruguayan pesos.

The incident is currently being investigated by the Argentine Justice and Police, who are reviewing security camera footage from the building and searching for witnesses. The victims reported the crime to the local police station, prompting the Prosecutor’s Office to order a thorough investigation. This case bears all the hallmarks of the “Black Widows” modus operandi, where unsuspecting tourists are targeted and robbed after being befriended by the perpetrators. As the authorities delve deeper into the case, they will be hoping to bring those responsible to justice and prevent further incidents of this nature.
