Urrutia and Ozuna lead 7-race rally and Gigantes beat Toros

Los Gigantes del Cibao crystallized a cluster of seven runs in the top of the ninth to beat the Toros del Este 7-3, in a match held at the Francisco Micheli stadium.

It was the 12th victory for the Giants who have lost 10, a game and a half away from the Eastern Stars, who are in the first place of standing, while the Bulls suffer their 12th setback with 9 wins and occupy the fifth place, four games of the leaders of the Eastern Stars and one of the important fourth position occupied by the Lions of the Chosen One.

The Giants had an eight-hit offense, including an RBI double by Marcell Ozuna and a two-lap RBI single by Henry Urrutia, to avoid the shutout that the Romans’ pitching had been boiling over.

The victory went to Luis Perdomo, while Fernando Abad carried the reverse.
