The Indian captain returned to the pavilion after being taken out in the game without scoring a run. Rohit went for a run on the second ball of his innings after playing a shot in the middle but at the other end, his teammate Shubman Gill couldn't get beyond his crease to see the ball and the fielder hit the ball straight to the wicketkeeper. The pass was thrown and Rohit was run out. After getting out, Rohit Sharma looked very disappointed, expressed his anger towards Gill and went to the pavilion.

This was the 11th time in Rohit Sharma's T20 International career that he failed to open the account. Shivam Dubey of the Indian team played a brilliant unbeaten innings of 60 runs over this match and contributed significantly to the team's victory. Furthermore, 31 runs were scored in 20 balls with the bat of wicketkeeper-batsman Jitesh Sharma.
