The American Football Federation recently indicated that it will offer identical contracts to the men and women who play for the national team.
“US Soccer believes that the way forward for all involved and for the future of sport in the United States is through a single salary structure for the two national teams,” the USSF said in a statement.
USSF President Cindy Parlow Cone last week said the body wanted to level bonuses paid to men and women at the World Cup. This is the main demand of the players.

The Federation assured Tuesday that it would not sign an agreement “which would not make the important step forward of equal bonuses at the World Cup.”
It is a victory for the American internationals who win a fight led by Megan Rapinoe in particular in 2019. The star of the United States had attacked, with several teammates, the Federation in court to obtain equal wages and working conditions with men.
