United Kingdom: Prince Charles solemn and diligent for his first throne speech

Sitting to the left of the crown to which he is the heir, Prince Charles appeared solemn and diligent on Tuesday, May 10, for his first throne speech, a turning point justified by the mobility problems suffered by his mother, Queen Elizabeth. A nine-minute speech

It was the first time in almost sixty years and the third time in seventy years of reign that Queen Elizabeth II had missed this annual event. She had already delegated this speech when she was pregnant, in 1959 and 1963 respectively.
