Multi-chain wallet
The wallet is designed to provide a more user-friendly experience, with features such as instant cross-chain swap, NFT portfolio management, and the ability to trade NFTs directly from the wallet.
The beta version of the wallet was released in November 2023 to a small group of early testers. The wallet was developed in collaboration with Exodus.
This is a so-called self-custody wallet, which means that users retain full control over their assets. The users themselves own the private keys.
To attract early adopters, Magic Eden offers limited in-wallet mints from NFT projects such as Claynosaurz, Degenerate Ape Academy and BoDoggos. Additionally, users can also expect airdrops in February.
Magic Eden originally focused on the Solana community, but in November 2022 the marketplace expanded to support Polygon (MATIC) NFTs as well. Bitcoin and Ethereum were also successfully added in 2023.
According to data from The Block, Magic Eden is currently the second largest marketplace after OKX by daily trading volume for Bitcoin Ordinals NFTs.
Trump NFTs on Magic Eden
Users of the Magic Eden platform will soon be able to enjoy a digital art collection from former US President Donald Trump.
The collection, consisting of 200 unique NFTs featuring images from Trump’s MugShot series, marks his fourth initiative in the NFT world.
The team behind the mugshots say they served no political purpose and were simply for entertainment.
Trump is currently in the race for the presidency again and has another Republican candidate in the race, Nikki Haley.
