Unified Visa Platform: Explaining the Role of Recruiting Companies

Riyadh: Questions are being raised about the role of recruiting companies in Saudi Arabia following the recent establishment of a unified visa platform, which officials have clarified.

According to the Saudi website, after the Saudi authorities designated the Foreign Ministry as the National Unified Visa Platform, questions are being asked regarding the recruitment system and whether there will be any change in the recruitment system and dealings with foreigners. The Saudi cabinet has recently ruled that once the Foreign Ministry is designated as the National Unified Visa Platform, there will be no change in dealings with foreigners and in relation to the recruitment law.

The Saudi cabinet has clarified that the approval of the Foreign Ministry to use the platform for the National Unified Visa platform does not mean that any changes have been made in the e-system.

The Saudi cabinet has instructed the National Information Center to use the National Unified Visa Platform.

In this regard, the Foreign Ministry’s technical working team will be formed so that within one year from the date of issuance of the new decision, the Foreign Ministry’s platform will be used as the National Unified Visa Platform.

The Cabinet also directed to form a committee at the Ministry of External Affairs, the members of which would be concerned government agencies.

It is to be noted that the Saudi cabinet has recently approved that the Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare will be responsible for the application for working visas and it will send the applications for employment visas on the Foreign Ministry’s National Unified Visa Platform.
