The Indian Supreme Court has ordered suspended TV leader Nopur Sharma to apologize on TV for his blasphemous remarks about the Prophet Muhammad.

According to Indian media reports, religious scholars welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision and said that it was necessary to apologize to suspended BG leader Nopur Sharma and give him legal punishment so that no one else would spoil the atmosphere in the future. ਕਰੇ۔

Muhammad Saleem Engineer, Vice President, Jamaat-e-Islami India, said that the decision of the Supreme Court in the case of Nopur Sharma has given a ray of hope and we welcome it.

He said that Nopur Sharma should apologize but it does not reduce his guilt. He should be punished for the crime he has committed so that no one else makes such a mistake in future.

The royal imam of Delhi’s Fatehpur Sikri Mosque, Mufti Mukarram Ahmed, said that Nopur Sharma should have apologized before the court’s verdict, otherwise the country’s atmosphere would not have deteriorated. However, it is not too late to apologize only after the court decision.

Will Muslims accept Nopur Sharma’s pardon? In response, Mufti Mukarram said that Muslims have no choice but to forgive.

It may be recalled that the Supreme Court during the hearing of the case remarked that Nopur Sharma was responsible for the tense situation in India and therefore he should apologize to the nation for his statement.
