Ukrainian troops try to hold out in western Bakhmut

Moscow (BLAZETRENDS).- Ukrainian troops are trying to resist in the western part of Bakhmut, Artiomovsk for the Russians, as recognized on Tuesday by the interim leader appointed by Moscow in the Ukrainian region of Donetsk, Denís Pushilin.

“Artyomovsk: already in the western part, behind the railway lines, the enemy remains,” Pushilin told Solovyov Live television channel.

This Monday Pushilin assured that Russian troops control “more than 75 percent” of Bakhmut, but admitted that fierce fighting is taking place in the west of the city.

He added that Russian troops are also advancing on the Avdiivka front, located a few kilometers from Donetsk, the capital of the self-proclaimed people’s republic of the same name.

According to Pushilin, the objective of the Russian soldiers is to push the Ukrainian forces away enough to ensure the safety of Donetsk and prevent it from being attacked from Avdiivka.

For his part, a Ukrainian military expert has assured BLAZETRENDS that the Ukrainian troops defending the city of Bakhmut have managed to move the Russian forces away from the road that the Ukrainian army needs to continue receiving reinforcements and supplies.

The expert has also assured that Russia continues to deploy additional units in Bakhmut to deal with the large number of casualties it is suffering in its attempt to gain full control of this city in eastern Ukraine, where they resided before the war began. about 70,000 people.
