Ukraine’s Existence Under Threat by Next Year, Claims Top Putin Advisor

Senior Russian Official Predicts Ukraine’s Demise

Nikolai Patrushev, a trusted advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin, has made a bold prediction that Ukraine will cease to exist by next year. In a recent interview, Patrushev emphasized that negotiations regarding Ukraine should only involve Russia and the United States, excluding other countries like the United Kingdom and those in the European Union.

Patrushev, who has been a loyal associate of Putin since their days as KGB agents, stated that Ukraine’s demands for territorial recovery are not up for discussion. He also asserted that the international community recognizes the annexation of regions such as Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Crimea as part of Russia.

According to Patrushev, these regions are an integral part of Russia, citing Russian laws and the results of popular referendums held in September 2022. However, it is worth noting that these referendums were widely rejected by the global community.

Despite the ongoing conflict, Patrushev believes that the Ukrainian people maintain strong historical ties with the Russian people. He attributes the current tensions to Ukraine’s anti-Russian propaganda and its focus on promoting a sense of Ukrainian identity.

In terms of potential negotiations, Patrushev insists that only the United States and Russia are qualified to participate, as the European Union no longer represents the interests of its member states. He points to countries like Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, and Romania, which he claims are interested in maintaining stability in Europe and have adopted a more balanced approach towards Russia.

Warning to Moldova

Patrushev has also issued a warning to Moldova, stating that its anti-Russian policies could lead to the country becoming part of another state or ceasing to exist altogether.

In response, the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has denounced Patrushev’s comments as unacceptable interference in their internal affairs. The ministry emphasized that Moldova is a sovereign state committed to democracy and European integration, in line with the will of its citizens.
