Ukraine recovers another 7 kilometers on the Bakhmut front

This was announced today by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Hanna Maliar, on her social networks, noting that since the beginning of June began its land counteroffensive, Ukraine has recovered on the flanks of this city in the eastern province of Donetsk a total of 31 square kilometers.

The Deputy Minister of Defense explained that Ukraine’s offensive actions continue on this part of the front, where during the last seven days the Kiev forces managed to advance “every day”.

In another statement, Maliar also reported the liberation by Ukrainian forces of another 10.9 square kilometers in the southern part of the front, where Kiev has regained control of 179.5 square kilometers since the start of the counteroffensive. .

In this area of ​​the contact line, Ukraine has pushed Russia back a total of 9.25 kilometers since launching this campaign.

Likewise, the Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defense reported Russian offensive operations in the Kupiansk area, some 170 kilometers north of Bakhmut.

There the Russian forces would be looking for “the weak points” of the enemy defenses to force the Ukrainian troops to withdraw to the western bank of the Oskil river.
