Title: Julianna Peña Ready to Challenge for UFC Bantamweight Championship

October 5th Fight Against Raquel Pennington Just Around the Corner

Venezuelan-born fighter Julianna Peña is on the verge of making history by challenging for the UFC Bantamweight Championship against current champion Raquel Pennington on October 5th. Despite facing numerous critics who deem her an opportunist, Peña remains focused on her ultimate goal.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Peña expressed her unwavering determination: "They all want to fight me and talk about me to try to provoke me; it happens since The Ultimate Fighter. For some reason the girls in my division don’t like me, so get in line, I’ll wait for you! I think what happens is that people don’t like you to tell the truth to their face and that’s what I do; I don’t hide, I was born to fight for the things I believe in and I will always give my opinion."

A Staunch Defender of Donald Trump

Before discussing her upcoming fight, Peña opened up about her strong opinions and beliefs. If she hadn’t become a fighter, she revealed she would have liked to be a detective. Additionally, Peña expressed her support for former US President Donald Trump, stating: "I will always support Trump. I met him once and he knew who I was, he knew my name and he thanked me for what I do in this sport. I stayed in shock The attempted murder is totally unfortunate, but I have my conspiracy theory that I think they did it to win the elections no matter what. It was crazy."

Back from Injuries and Motherhood

Peña knows the meaning of being at the top and losing it all. She has suffered injuries, including breaking her neck, nose, and back, as well as destroying her knee, which forced her to take a three-year hiatus. Following her return to the ring, Peña took two years off to focus on her motherhood. Despite the setbacks, Peña is ready to face Pennington for the championship.

"I could say a lot of things to those who don’t want to see me in this position. I’ve done it all, I have won, I have been injured, I have been a mother, I have returned… I destroyed my knee and was on leave for almost three years, then another two on maternity leave, but at the end of the day, it’s about locking us in a cage and seeing who has the biggest ovaries. And there is no one who has them bigger than me. I don’t care what they tell me; either now or in five months, but I’m going to give you a fight you won’t forget."
