Udoka: Golden State is a smart team, it’s not going to defeat itself, you have to beat it

Ime Udoka, coach of the Boston Celtics, assured this Wednesday that his team has already lived "these situations"referring to “playoff” games with victory as the only option to avoid elimination, and that gives him confidence ahead of Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors.

"On a general level, we are defending well enough to win. The problem is more at the offensive level. We played one or two quarters of good basketball, and then one or two we did poorly."said Udoka at the press conference prior to the Garden game, to which the Celtics arrive losing 2-3 in the series, forced to win to prevent the Warriors from celebrating the title on their field.

"We want to be attentive to our attack, because we defend well enough to win. We are in good shape, and we have already experienced these situations, that gives us confidence"added the technician.

The Celtics always won in these ‘playoffs’ in the three occasions in which they were against the wall: they did it twice against the Milwaukee Bucks and once against the Heat, in the seventh game of the series.

"We know that Golden State is a smart, well-coached team that is not going to defeat itself, you have to beat them. Confidence is that we already experienced these situations, but we must play better offensively"Udoka stated.

The Celtics setup man acknowledged that Steph Curry remains the main threat to his team, but stressed that his players can’t slow down in every defensive situation against other Warriors stars like Klay Thompson.
