It is indeed thanks to the immense success that has brought AC Black Flag that the project Skull and Bones was born, there is now more than 7 years. The episode featuring Edward Kenwaya corsair turned pirate and assassin had been awarded as “best adventure game” of the year 2014and the universe of pirates was unanimous with the public, so that a deviant episode, Assassin’s Creed: Snape, had been developed by the studio. It was therefore logical that the opus be brought up to date, both graphically and in terms of its gameplay.

According to the latest information, it would be a team ofUbisoft Singapore, which would work on the modernization of Black Flag. It is also the main developer of Skull and Bones, which is struggling to progress and give reassuring news, despite a public beta announced for this month of August. However, no new release date had been announced on the occasion of the SummerFest.

And the same goes for the remaster ofAC IV; we still don’t know if Ubisoft plans to include in this modernization elements of Skull and Bonesespecially for naval combat, or if it will be a simple graphical upgrade for next-gen consoles as was Assassin’s Creed III before him. Asked about the question, Ubisoft declined to comment.

Currently, the management of the Singapore studio forces developers to work twice as hard on the development of Skull and Bones, favoring face-to-face rather than remote work; the objective being always to complete the development of S&B – see even now to get rid of it.
