Ubal and Radicevic are doubtful for the end of the season against Unicaja

Radicevic and Ubal are doubtful due to physical problems for the match next Tuesday the 23rd against Unicaja in Miribilla, which will be the last of the season for the Basque team. Ponsarnau continues to have steering problems on the track. Hakanson, the team’s starting point guard and star, is out for the count. Francis Alonso, another who could handle the game, is resting at home after undergoing knee surgery. Smith is left alone at the wheel and on Sunday in Murcia Rabaseda had to improvise in that position.

The medical report issued by the Bilbao club reflects that Radicevic has a “bone bruise at the level of the internal femoral condyle” and Ubal a “moderate sprain” in the left ankle, both injuries produced in the match on the UCAM Murcia pitch. In the case of the Uruguayan, it is also reported that the sprain presents “involvement of the fibular calcaneal fasciculus, fibular retinaculum and extensor retinaculum as well as a slight bone edema of the talar dome”. “In addition, pain persists at the level of the plantar fascia and edema at the calcaneal insertion in the right foot due to the problems he had before the match,” the report added.

Ponsarnau’s team has clear accounts: it will be tenth if it beats Unicaja, or if it loses and Obradoiro does too. He will drop one place, to eleventh, if he loses, so does Breogán and Obradoiro wins; and will finish twelfth if he stumbles and the two Galician teams prevail. Obra receives the evicted Fuenlabrada and most likely will solve it without a problem and reach 14 victories. Breogán, on the contrary, visits a Valencia that is playing to enter the playoff.
