UAE’s historic move to tackle inflation

UAE: The rate of inflation is increasing day by day all over the world, for the prevention of which governments are taking various measures to provide relief to the people.

In this regard, the Ministry of Social Welfare in the UAE has announced the distribution of inflation allowance from Tuesday, July 5, while the family allowance will be distributed from September. Family allowance includes wife and children.

According to Emirates Al-Youm, the Ministry of Social Welfare has said that the inflation allowance includes petrol, food items, water and electricity allowances.

The Ministry of Social Welfare, referring to the difference between inflation allowances and family allowances, said that the allowance to be given in September two months from now is actually related to the new additions mentioned by the limited income earners under the new program. Has been in the support system.

The ministry said in a statement that the allowances to be paid in September are part of a program to support Emirati families with limited incomes.

This includes family head allowance, wife allowance, children’s allowance, housing allowance, unemployment allowance and unemployment allowance for unemployed persons above 45 years of age.

UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed the reorganization of a social assistance program for low-income citizens, under which the program will be carried out at a cost of 28 billion dirhams. The annual social assistance budget will increase from 2.7 billion dirhams to 5 billion dirhams.

Four elements have been added to the assistance program, including housing, university education, assistance to unemployed citizens over the age of 45 and job seekers.
