Dubai: For the first time in the UAE, the production of electric cars has started, with the aim of controlling pollution, initially 10,000 vehicles will be produced annually.

According to the details, the Umm Jaluri Holding Group of the United Arab Emirates has inaugurated the Al-Damani factory that manufactures electrical cars in Dubai Industrial City. It is the first factory of its kind in UAE.

The Deputy Executive Chairman of Tecom Group, Saud Abu Al-Shwarab, said that the establishment of the factory is another great achievement in the world of transportation in terms of low-carbon energy.

He said that the opening of the Umm Jaluri factory is a sign that we are continuously raising the standards of the industry here and our constant effort is to promote various types of industries in the UAE.

Dr. Majda Al-Azazi, chairperson of the Majlis Management of Umm Jalori Holding, said that the Al-Damani car factory is the first of its kind in the region.

Initially, this will be a temporary factory and soon its capacity will be increased. Within two years, its annual production capacity will reach 55 thousand vehicles. The factory will be set up on an area of ​​1 million square feet.
