UAE Women Cricket Team Creates History with All 10 Batters Retiring Out.

The UAE women’s cricket team pulled off a stunning display in their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier match against Qatar.

Historic Opening Stand

Captain Esha Oza and Theertha Sathish smashed an unbroken 192-run partnership off just 16 overs. This was a record opening stand. Oza notched up 113 runs, hitting 14 fours and five sixes. Sathish contributed 74 runs off 42 balls.

As the UAE batted, all 10 players got out “retired out” since you can’t declare in limited-overs cricket. So, Oza, Sathish, and eight others retired out to end the innings. Despite all 10 getting out, the UAE scored big.

Dominant Bowling Display

Chasing 193, Qatar was bowled out for just 29 in 11.1 overs. The UAE sealed a massive 163-run win. The match was over in 27.1 overs.

The game saw something weird. Fifteen players were out for a duck (zero runs), a record in women’s T20 internationals. Eight UAE batsmen were out without facing a ball. Qatar’s Ripja Bano Imanuelle was the only one to reach double figures for her team. Seven Qatar players didn’t even get on the board.
