Abu Dhabi: A new currency note of 1,000 dirhams has been issued on the occasion of UAE National Day, the old note will also continue to circulate.
According to Urdu News, the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates has issued a 1,000 dirham note on the occasion of the 51st National Day.
The new 1000 dirham note is made of polymer material, has a new design and has new features to prevent counterfeiting.
The new currency note has been launched in line with the vision of the leadership of the Emirates, the strategy of the Emirates, its aspirations for the future and the requirements of the 51st National Day celebrations.
The Central Bank of the Emirates says that the new 1,000 dirham note will be available in all bank branches and ATMs during the first half of 2023.
The Central Bank says that the old note of 1000 dirhams will continue to circulate, the issue of the new note will not affect it.
