Abu Dhabi: The UAE Public Prosecution has said that destroying property or damaging someone’s property is a crime punishable by up to five years in prison.
According to a recent video released on Instagram by the Public Prosecution, the accused could be fined 10,000 dirhams.
The Public Prosecution said that anyone who demolishes or damages property that is owned by others could face up to a year in prison and a fine of 10,000 dirhams.
If this process endangers people’s lives, safety or health, the length of imprisonment can be extended.
According to Article 424 of the Penal Code, if a crime is committed by a group of at least 3 persons, it can lead to imprisonment for more than 5 years.
