The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates has announced that citizens who hold ordinary passports will be able to travel to Japan without a visa.
Arab media Reports UAE passport holders will be able to stay in Japan for up to 30 days per visit for tourism or work purposes starting November 1, 2022.
The ministry says entry into Japan will be subject to its rules, which require passports to be valid for at least six months, provide a negative coronavirus test result taken 72 hours before departure, or prove that Presenting a certificate that the traveler has taken three doses that are approved in Japan.
Under-Secretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Khalid Abdullah Balhoul, emphasized that the decision to exempt UAE nationals from first-entry visas shows the depth of cooperation between the two countries because Both countries are celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations.
He said that this agreement will promote tourism and cultural exchange and support new opportunities in business, trade, investment.
According to the report, the objective of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is to strengthen the relationship between the two countries to fulfill common interests by encouraging additional diplomatic, economic, political, trade and investment cooperation.
It should be noted that the United Arab Emirates is Japan’s tenth largest trading partner in the world and there are more than 340 Japanese companies operating in various sectors.
