UAE: Addition of new traffic rules, fines of thousands of dirhams for violation

Abu Dhabi: 3 new clauses have been added to the traffic rules in the UAE, in case of violation, a heavy fine will be imposed.

According to Urdu News, the United Arab Emirates Traffic Council has added 3 new traffic violations.

According to the Traffic Council, it is against the law to gather near dams, flood points and valleys during rain, and a fine of 1,000 dirhams and 6 traffic points will be deducted.

The traffic council said with reference to the second violation that driving in valleys during rains will result in a fine of 2,000 dirhams and 23 points will be deducted, while the vehicle will be in the possession of the traffic department for 60 days.

According to the Traffic Council, the third violation is to obstruct the flow of rain water in the valleys, during rains and natural calamities and during relief operations and traffic management.

A fine of 1,000 dirhams and 4 traffic points will be deducted, while the vehicle will remain in the department’s possession for two months.

The council says the three new offenses have been added to legislate safety measures in rain and flood-related problems, natural disasters, crises and emergencies so that relevant authorities can carry out their responsibilities in a calm manner. can
