In 2008, India won the title for the second time at the U19 World Cup held in Malaysia. The team led by Virat Kohli defeated South Africa by 12 runs on the basis of the Duckworth-Lewis rule in the final match of the World Cup. The greatest hero of India’s victory in the 2008 World Cup was Tanmay Srivastava. Tanmay scored 262 runs in 6 games with an average of 52. Many great stars such as Captain Virat Kohli, Manish Pandey and Ravindra Jadeja were part of the title winning team under the leadership of Dave Whatmore.

year 2012
Due to Unmukt Chand’s captaincy entries in the 2012 U-19 World Cup final, India won the U-19 World Cup for the third time. India beat Australia by 6 wickets in the final match thanks to Chand’s brilliant 111-run hit. Unmukt Chand was named ‘Man of the Match’ for his brilliant entries. Several stars such as Captain Unmukt Chand and Hanuma Vihari were part of the title winning team under the leadership of coach Bharat Arun.

year 2018
In 2018, India won the U-19 World Cup for a record fourth time. The Indian team under the leadership of Prithvi Shaw managed to win the tournament without losing a single match. In the final, India won this title by defeating the Kangaroo team by 8 wickets. Apart from this, the team scored 100 runs over Australia in the group stage and achieved a grand 203-run win over Pakistan in the semi-finals. Stars like Captain Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill were part of the title-winning team under the leadership of Rahul Dravid.
