  • The decision was made due to the late arrival of the Afghanistan cricket team in the West Indies.

The ICC has had to reschedule the 2022 U19 World Cup Group C schedule due to Afghanistan being late to the West Indies. “After obtaining the necessary visas for travel, the Afghanistan team will arrive in the West Indies and complete the quarantine period,” the ICC said in a statement.

The ICC Tournament Technical Committee has approved the calendar change. The committee includes ICC Tournament Director Chris Tetley, ICC Senior Events Manager Fawaz Baksh, Tournament Director Roland Holder, and West Indies Cricket Board representatives Alain Wilkins and Russell Arnold.

“We are delighted that the Afghanistan team has obtained the necessary visas and will participate in the tournament,” said Tetley. We would like to thank all participating members for their cooperation.
