IND W vs SA W: India has started the U-19 T20 Women’s World Cup with a win. In the first match, the India team defeated the hosts South Africa by 7 wickets. After winning the toss, the South African team came out to bat first, giving India a target of 167 runs. The India team, who came to chase this, completed this goal in just 16.3 overs. Captain Shefali Verma (45) and Shweta Serawat (92) played quick tackles for the Indian team.

Chasing 167 runs, the Indian team got off to a good start. Indian team captain Shefali Verma started attacking with the bat early on. In this match, she scored 45 runs off 16 balls aided by 9 fours and 1 six. However, following Shefali’s sacking, India suffered two setbacks with Trisha (15) and Soumya (10). But one end of the team was managed by Shweta Sherawat and he played a stormy innings of 92 runs off 57 balls aided by 20 fours. Shweta Sherawat also received the man of the match award for his incredible hitting.
